Due to the low cost of MI/X 4.0, academic discounts are available only for site licenses (see below).

Single-Platform Licenses (licensed locked to a single, specific platform)

This license is used on single Windows 95, 98, NT4.0, or 2000 computers to permit the use of MI/X server for remote or local X applications. This license is locked to the platform on which it is installed and cannot be moved.

In order to make MI/X available at a very low price, we have provided an easy online automatic ordering system. If you do not have a credit card or wish to order MI/X by any other method (such as phone, email, or FAX), the cost is $40 per unit.

Quantity discounts are not available for Single-Platform Licenses.

Floating Licenses (controlled by a license manager)

This license is for institutional and corporate networked situations where the authorized number of MI/X units will be shared on a network among multiple users. This kind of license creates a "virtual" authorization key, which "floats" from computer to computer under the control of a FLEXlm license manager. It allows any Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, or 2000 computer on the network to check out the virtual authorization and use MI/X. The network can be in a single office, between buildings, or any other networked structure that will support access to the FLEXlm license manager.

(Additional users can be added to a floating license at any time. Discounts are cumulative for additional orders of 10 or more.)

Payment

Prepayment required for orders less than $225. Payment may be made by credit card, check or wire transfer via any major United States bank for further credit to Wells Fargo N. A., San Francisco, CA under ABA number 121-000248 for further credit to MicroImages, Inc. in account 818-0011551.

Purchase Orders are accepted only for orders greater than $225. Payment is net 30 (2% interest charged monthly from the date of invoice if payment is not received when due).
